Insulators and allied workers maintain and remove old insulation, install, apply, and spray insulation onto: structural members, walls, ceilings and thermal controlled areas, ducts, process piping and commercial piping systems, vessels and boilers and apply fire stop products and weather and vapor barriers. This work involves assembling and dismantling scaffolding and equipment and accessing piping in trenches and confined spaces.
