This work involves activities such as laying and aligning pipe, disassembling and removing damaged or worn pipe and repairing or replacing defective vessel parts. A number of trades perform parts of this work, including plumbers, pipefitters and boilermakers. This database includes an analysis of the hazards associated with these work activities, as well as practical measures for making such work safer.
